Guide to Tennessee's national parks

In Brief:

With the diverse wildlife in the area, such as the abundant deer, rabbits, and many species of migrating birds, the Smoky Mountains have a lot in store for the nature enthusiasts and bird watchers year around. However, if you?need a touch more civilization, don't hesitate to venture into Gatlinburg, which has many restaurants, shops selling candy,?or other novelties, a mountain tram, "Ober Gatlinburg",?carrying visitors to the top of the mountain and back,?and many other things to see and do. And, a little further down the road, in Pigeon Forge , don't forget to stop in at the main theme park attractions such as Dollywood,?the many shops, and restaurants lining the streets. And if you can, check out some of the great state parks in SE Tennessee, such as The Red Clay State Historic Park , in Cleveland Tennessee,?last and sacred?council grounds of the? Cherokee Indians before being forced out west on the infamous " Trail of Tears ".
